Ruddy’s Kitchen is managed by Chef Ruddy, a passionate chef who started her culinary journey in her mother’s kitchen at an early age. Later, she became interested in culinary skills and saw her attended the Landmark Catering and Hotel Management School in Port Harcourt, Rivers State where she obtained a Diploma in Catering and Hotel Management. Chef Ruddy had her first stint in culinary exposure with Focal Hotels, GRA, Port Harcourt where she interned. She has attended training locally and internationally. It is worth mentioning that she trained at Celebrity Mobile Kitchen (CMK), Port Harcourt where she obtained a Diploma, and at Red Dish Chronicle, Abuja where she obtained a Professional Artisan Bread and a Professional Diploma in Cuisine. She also interned at the Wells Carlton Hotel, Abuja. For international exposure, in 2024, she attended the Italian Chef Academy, Italy where she obtained a Diploma in Cuisine and Pasticceria as well as interned at Vivi – Le Serre, Italy.
Chef Ruddy had her first exposure to trying her skills with the management of a canteen of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) main branch along Azikiwe Road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, for 6 months in 2018 and also the canteen of First Bank Main Branch, Garrison, and Olu Obasanjo Road branches from 2018 to 2020 all in Port Harcourt. Also managed the canteen located at NNS PATHFINDER, Port Harcourt, Rivers State from 2004 – 2019.
Chef Ruddy has a wealth of experience in outdoor and indoor catering. Ruddys Kitchen catered to over 3,000 women in support of the Elizabeth Jackrich Foundation, during the foundation skill acquisition and entrepreneurship training in 2019 and 2020. The Kitchen had also catered for a crowd of over 5,000 during a church program hosted by Pastor Joshua Iginla of the Champion Royal Assembly, Abuja, Nigerian Navy End of Year Ball event for 2023 and Naval Officers Wives Association (NOWA) end-of-year party and other events hosted by NOWA.
To enhance Ruddys Kitchen culinary experience, Chef Ruddy has attended several food festivals, cake events where she won awards such as Bronze winner in Jollof, West Africa Food Festival (WAFFEST) 2023, Silver winner, Master Chef 2023, and Gold winner, Culinary WAFFEST 2023. A member of the International Cake Exploration Society (ICES), the Association of Professional Chefs Nigeria (APCN) and the Association of Italian Chefs (AIC).
Ruddys Kitchen through Ruddys Academy of Culinary Arts (RACA) has trained and mentored over 150 student chefs. RACA has also supported widows and orphans through skill acquisition and startup kits.
